Ünschi Bewegig
Ünschi is a movement that aims to promote food production in Davos. In 2019, Martin Hänggi launched the "ünschi Härdöpfel" project, cultivating potatoes in the mountains again after a 70-year hiatus. The initiative demonstrates that local production is possible with the right innovation. It strengthens regional agriculture, inspires producers, and promotes fair, organic, and biodiversity-friendly farming practices that benefit the region.

Martin Hänggi
The idea and driving force behind ünschi is Martin Hänggi. In his organic shop in Davos, he noticed that some basic foodstuffs were not locally available – he wanted to change that.

Next-Generations
To implement his idea, Martin contacted Next Generations, a Swiss non-profit platform that develops business models, products, and events suitable for grandchildren. The project is a hit with the network, but how will it be financed?

Live Lab AG, a member of Next Generations and a creative agency that supports many WEF projects in Davos, is supporting ünschi together with other stakeholders such as Davos Works, Richnerstutz, Messerli, Fill-me, and BWT. These service providers have decided to give something back to the Davos community – through financial contributions and labor for the project.

Producers
Nothing is possible without our producers. Currently, potatoes and oats are growing on various fields provided to Martin Hänggi. The organic farm "Zur Seewiese," run by Martin Büchi and his family, has joined the movement, and together we are expanding our product range.
