From Davos to Davos = ünschi
Vision
Together we want to strengthen and expand the local economy in the Landwasser Valley.
Why?
Many foods and products such as potatoes, apples, mineral water, salads, French fries, rösti and crisps are often imported into the Landwasser Valley at considerable expense, sometimes even flown in from abroad.
We are convinced that together we can improve this situation.
Through ünsches' commitment, we want to inspire and support others to also work to strengthen the local economy in the Landwasser Valley.
Thank you for your support from ünschi !

Ünschi Movement
Ünschi is a movement that aims to bring food production back to Davos. In 2019, Martin Hänggi launched the "ünschi Härdöpfel" project and started growing potatoes in the mountains again after 70 years. The initiative shows that with the right innovation, local production is possible. It strengthens regional agriculture, inspires producers and focuses on fair, organic and biodiversity-friendly farming methods that benefit the region.
Martin Hänggi
The idea and driving force behind Ünschi is Martin Hänggi.
In his organic food shop in Davos, he noticed that some basic foods were not available locally - he wanted to change that.
Next-Generations
To realise his idea, Martin turned to Next-Generations, a Swiss non-profit platform that develops business models, products and events suitable for grandchildren. The network is excited about the project, but how is it being funded?
Partner
Live Lab AG, a member of Next Generations and a creative agency that supports many WEF projects in Davos, is supporting ünschi along with other players such as Davos Works, Richnerstutz and Messerli. These companies have decided to give something back to the Davos community - through financial resources and work for the ünschi project.
We are also pleased to have supporters such as BWT, who provide the refill stations for the ünschi Water, and Heierling, a local member of Next-Generations.

Producers
Nothing would be possible without our farmers. At the moment, potatoes, barley, rye and oats are being grown on various fields made available to Martin Hänggi.
The organic farm “Zur Seewiese”, run by Martin Büchi and his family, has joined the movement and together they are continually expanding the Ünschi product range.
Vision - from Davos for Davos
Ünschi belongs to everyone who is committed to the development of local agriculture in the mountains. Our aim is to inspire and promote sustainable and biodiverse food production in the region.
